TESTS:
All tests are posted on Grade Book and listed on the classroom board as well. Notification is sent as soon as I determine that a test is scheduled for any subject matter.
Quizes are both scheduled and POP QUIZ style. Students should be prepared for Vocabulary quizes in Social Studies for every chapter in both 7th and 8th grade. None are given in 6th as a suprise quiz.
Reviews are the day before the scheduled test day. I normally avoid Mondays for test, but sometimes scheduling problems will occur.
In case of absence, the student will have one day of return before his/her test is given. Fellow students' tests will not be returned until all have taken it.
Some tests are "weighted" in that they are given a percentage grade (based on 100 points), not just a letter grade based solely on the number of points on that particular test.
Also, some workbook pages in Social Studies are test valued, not just a daily grade.
